The headline of this fortnight is sharing: you can share a group with someone outside your practice, and what a guest can see and do is now checked on the routes they can reach and reflected in the interface, so nothing is offered that will then be refused. Alongside that, joint and non-beneficial holdings now import correctly, and teams arrived.

Highlights

• Sharing And Guest Access: Groups can be shared with guests, who get their own inspectors and can switch between the workspaces shared with them. Guest access is isolated by design and covered by isolation tests.
• Permissions Enforced Across The App: The areas a shared user can reach now check their permission: entity files and sensitive reveals, relationships, loans and distributions, capital classes, diagrams and layouts, scenarios, imports and the Xero and ASIC integrations. Actions a guest cannot perform are hidden rather than failing when clicked.
• Team Functionality: Teams were added, with team permissions kept separate from external sharing so internal colleagues and outside guests are governed by different rules.
• Joint And Non-Beneficial Holdings: Joint holdings gained a proper edit flow, and holdings held non-beneficially now resolve to the trust behind them, so an imported structure shows who really owns what.
• Consolidated Group Picker And Search: A single consolidated group entity picker was introduced, and search across tenancies and groups was added.
• Inspector And Detail Improvements: The inspectors were made consistent across entity types, synthetic assets gained quick edits, number formatting and numeric inputs were upgraded, ownership percentages are labelled on the diagram, and date entry in the family tree inspectors behaves predictably.
• Diagram Focus Filtering: A focus filter trims the diagram to the part of the structure you are looking at, rather than showing everything at once.
• MFA Reset And Session Timeouts: Resetting multi-factor authentication was updated, and session timeout handling was updated.
• Duplicate Guard And Security Patches: Entity creation now guards against creating a duplicate, and dependency security vulnerabilities picked up in an audit were fixed.
