Update Dev 162

03 September 2026

This release adds proper reporting, so an entity or a register can be exported to Word, Excel or JSON and handed to a client or a file. It also makes the Xero Practice Manager sync careful with tax file numbers, restructures the ASIC extract import review around share classes, and brings notes, callouts and attachments onto diagrams.

Highlights

  • Entity And Register Reports: Entities and registers can now be exported to Word, Excel and JSON, with scoped register exports, a financial position section, and reciprocal relationships collapsed so a pair is not reported twice.
  • Tax File Numbers Handled Properly In The XPM Sync: A tax file number is now treated as push only. It is never imported from Xero Practice Manager, which masks it on read, it is offered as an explicit reconciliation choice, and it is pushed only where XPM has none. The push path no longer logs the payloads and responses that carry a tax file number or a director identification number. Separately, a full tax file number revealed on a diagram now stays revealed until you turn it off, rather than timing out.
  • ASIC Import Review Rebuilt Around Share Classes: The import review workflow has been restructured. Share classes on the extract are reconciled against the linked company, with a link or create step for each, ordinary shares are recognised however they are written, and large secure extract uploads are supported.
  • Notes, Callouts And Attachments On Diagrams: Diagrams gained entity purpose callouts and ownership notes, and attachments on both entities and relationships are now unified and can be opened straight from a node or a link. Several dragging and flicker problems with notes and entities were fixed.
  • A More Dependable Xero Practice Manager Sync: Several data-integrity faults in the sync were fixed: paginated lists could silently truncate, group membership stopped parsing, and writes were rejected outright. Testamentary trusts, which XPM rejects, are no longer exported, structured addresses sync more accurately, and clients held for a type selection are counted separately.
  • Inline Video Help: Short help videos are now available in place throughout the application, covering custom styles, ASIC Direct Feed, XPM push and pull, annotations, relationships, assets and groups, with a per user switch to hide the help icons entirely.
  • Loans, Funding And Asset Values: Asset funding and loan workflows are now one flow, loans receivable are presented as an asset while debts payable show in red, secured loan details are filled in correctly, and an entity's owned assets show a value breakdown with ownership weighted figures.
  • Filing Diagrams To FYI: Diagrams filed to FYI are now refiled in place rather than duplicated, are stamped with the filing date and time, and remember the cabinet each diagram was last filed to.
  • Account Security And Invitations: Changing an email address now goes through a secure confirmation and requires the current password, and invitation resends are throttled with a cooldown and a lifetime cap that survives recreating the invitation.
  • Reliability Fixes: Large permission lookups no longer come back empty, trustees now show as the legal owner beneath trust owners in registers and capital tables, and a detail page that hit a token refresh race now retries instead of failing.
