Learn how to use StructureGram

Deleting Your Account and Organisations

StructureGram supports two different deletion actions:

  1. Deleting an organisation (admin-only): permanently deletes the organisation and the organisation’s data.
  2. Deleting your user account: permanently deletes your ability to sign in, removes your memberships, and cleans up your user-related records.

These actions are not the same and they have different effects on data.

Quick Summary (Which One Do You Need?)

Delete an organisation if:

  • You want to remove an organisation and everything inside it.
  • You’re cleaning up a trial/workspace that shouldn’t exist anymore.
  • You are the last admin and you want that organisation gone.

Delete your user account if:

  • You no longer want to use StructureGram.
  • You want to remove your access to all organisations you belong to.

Important: If you are the last admin of any organisation, you must resolve that first (see If You’re the Last Admin).

Deleting an Organisation

Who can delete an organisation?

Only admins of that organisation can delete it.

What happens when an organisation is deleted?

Deleting an organisation permanently deletes the organisation and its data. This includes the organisation’s structures and anything stored under that organisation.

This action:

  • Removes the organisation from all members’ organisation lists
  • Removes access for all users who were members
  • Permanently deletes the organisation’s data

This cannot be undone.

How to delete an organisation

  1. Switch to the organisation you want to delete.
  2. Go to Account > Organisation Settings.
  3. Scroll to the Delete Organisation section.
  4. Confirm the organisation name (as prompted) and proceed.

Deleting Your User Account

What account deletion does (and does not) do

Deleting your user account is designed to remove your user access and user-associated records.

It:

  • Removes your organisation memberships
  • Clears user-scoped “active” selections (for example, your active organisation or active group)
  • Deletes pending invitations that were sent to your email address
  • Deletes your authentication user so you can’t sign in again with that account

It does not automatically delete organisations or organisation data.

If other team members remain in an organisation, they keep their access.

When account deletion is blocked

Account deletion is blocked if you are the last admin of any organisation.

In that case, you must either:

  • Promote another member to admin, or
  • Delete the organisation first

See If You’re the Last Admin.

How to delete your user account

You can start account deletion from:

  • Account area inside the app (Danger Zone), or
  • The Tenancy Required screen (for users who are signed in but not attached to any organisation)

You will be asked to confirm the deletion, including typing the confirmation text.

After successful deletion, you’ll be signed out and redirected.

If You’re the Last Admin

Every organisation must have at least one admin. If you’re the last admin, StructureGram prevents you from deleting your account because that would leave the organisation without an administrator.

To proceed, choose one of these options:

Option A: Promote another admin

  1. Go to Account > Organisation Settings.
  2. In Team Management, promote another member to Admin.
  3. Once the organisation has another admin, you can delete your user account.

Option B: Delete the organisation

If the organisation is no longer needed, delete it first (see Deleting an Organisation). After that, you can delete your user account.

Common Questions

I deleted my account — can I get it back?

No. Account deletion is permanent.

I deleted an organisation — can you restore it?

No. Organisation deletion permanently removes the organisation and its data.

I just want to leave an organisation, not delete anything

If there are other admins, you can leave by removing your membership (an admin can remove you), or you can ask an admin to remove you from the organisation. If you’re the last admin, you must promote another admin first.
