How to Import a Company Directly from ASIC
This article explains how to order an ASIC company extract directly inside StructureGram so that your company's entities and relationships feed in automatically — no PDF upload required.
If you already have an ASIC extract PDF, see Importing Joint and Non-Beneficial Shareholdings from ASIC for what to expect at the review screen, and Import Hub for the PDF-upload entry point.
Before You Start
Purchase billing must be set up on your account before you can order an extract. Only admins can do this. To set it up:
- Go to Account Settings.
- Click the Billing tab.
- Under Purchase Billing, click Add or change card.
- Enter your card details and click Save card.
See Managing Your Subscription for more on billing.
Steps
- Navigate to the ASIC Direct Feed page. You can get there two ways:
- Go to the Companies page and click Import Company from ASIC, or
- Go to Data Import → Import Hub, find the ASIC Direct Feed card, and click Start Direct Feed Import.
- In Section 1, enter the name of the company you want to look up and click Search.
- In Section 2, select the company from the search results.
- Review the company details.
- Choose your extract type: Current, or Current + Historical (which includes historical relationships such as previous directors).
- Click Order Extract. The cost is charged to the card saved in Purchase Billing.
What You'll See
After placing your order, you'll be taken to a review page where you can check the entities and relationships before they're imported. The ASIC extract PDF is also saved under the Files section of the relevant company entity, where you can view and download it at any time — see Entity Documents.
Tips
- If billing isn't set up, the ASIC Direct Feed card in the Import Hub will show Billing Required and you won't be able to place an order. Ask your admin to set up Purchase Billing first.
- Use Current + Historical when you need a true historical view (for Snapshots or to reconstruct a past structure). It's slightly more expensive but worth it where history matters.
