How to Create a Group
This article explains how to create a Group so that you can organise your client's entities and relationships in one place.
Before You Start
Make sure you have access to an Organisation to create your Group in.
Steps
- In the left-hand navigation, go to Groups.
- Click Create Group.
- Give your Group a name. You can also add an optional description and group colour.
- Click Create Group.
What You'll See
- A "Group '[group name]' created successfully!" message appears. Your new Group is set as the active Group automatically, meaning all data is scoped to that Group.
- To switch to a different Group, click Activate next to the Group you want.
- To view all data across your Organisation at once, click the folder icon dropdown in the top navigation bar and select All Entities. The dropdown always displays the name of whichever Group or view is currently active, so you can see at a glance how your data is filtered.
Tips
- Group names must be unique. If you use a name that already exists, you'll see "A group with this name already exists" and will need to choose a different name before continuing.
